SNA of Mass. Professional Development Scholarship

SNA of Mass. Monya Geller School Food Service Scholarship

Scholarships are another fantastic benefit for members only of SNA of Mass. Our state association currently offers two scholarships for members. Not personally having the money shouldn’t be a barrier for those who want to advance their knowledge and/or become certified: these scholarships can help you attain those goals and continuing your education demonstrates your commitment to your school nutrition profession.
Professional Development Scholarship, which is designed for those individuals pursuing a college degree related to school food service. SNA of Massachusetts awards (3) $500 scholarships to their members annually to help advance good nutrition and promote effective management skills in the school food service operation.
Monya Gellar Scholarship: Each year, the SNA of MA awards up to (4) scholarships, with a maximum of $250 per person. Acceptable courses are those which will improve skills or prepare you for a leadership position in school food service work to benefit child nutrition programs. For example, scholarships may be used for individual courses in nutrition education and food service management, such as Healthy Edge, Nutrition Fundamentals, or Servsafe etc., which could help attain certification through SNA.
